Job Title:Quality Engineer

Our manufacturing client in Peachtree City, GA is adding a Quality Engineer to their team on a permanent basis. The QE will be responsible for assuring quality in all phases of the manufacturing process, from suppliers to end customers. Assist in developing methods and procedures for process control, process improvement, testing and inspection to ensure that the products are free of flaws and functioning as designed Analyze quality standards for components, materials or services. Inspect, verify and validate components or materials used in the development processes.
Analyze issues reported from the customer and implement changes to manufacturing as necessary
Recommend corrections in technical applications and analysis. Specify materials, equipment and supplies required for completion and implementation of technical projects (new equipment, part runoff, QC testing criteria).
Collaborate with suppliers to assure the quality of their products, materials, components and/or operations. Follow up with suppliers on quality deviations, corrective actions and ensures that solutions are identified and implemented (SCAR)
Monitor the supplier performance and support efforts to develop and implement changes to improve the production process.
Evaluate vendor capabilities to provide required products or services for new suppliers.
Analyze reports and defective products from production, receiving and warranty to determine trends and recommend corrective actions.
Travel to suppliers as/when required
Bachelor's Degree in Electrical/Electronic, Mechanical or related engineering field
5-10 years of experience maintaining and implementing quality control practices and procedures in a manufacturing environment
Solid understanding of engineering theory and principles of design
Familiarity with ISO and Lean principals (5S, Kaizen, Value Stream Mapping) and CAD
Ability to use quality inspection equipment including but not limited to: depth gage, calipers, micrometer, product gages, and CMM preferred
Knowledge of manufacturing processes related to fabrication of metal products
Ability to read blueprints, diagrams, schematics and technical manuals
