Our manufacturing client in Peachtree City, GA is adding a Technical Support Advisor to their team who can provide advanced troubleshooting and problem resolution to end users, service technicians and distributors via telephone and email. We are looking for local candidates who have served in a field service capacity (mechanical, HVAC and refrigeration knowledge) who is ready to move out of a field service role and in to a full time remote support environment. Primary Responsibilities:


Deliver inbound telephone troubleshooting and diagnostic support to resolve product/equipment failure issues.


Apply advanced diagnostic techniques to identify problems, investigate causes and recommend solutions to correct failures.


Document all resolutions in the system for future reference.


Engage with customers, probe for clarification, and review technical diagrams, drawings and schematics to solve highly complex technical problems.


Work with Manufacturing, Service Parts and Engineering to secure technical manuals and alternative parts for existing and discounted products.


Advise quality and new product development of recurring component failures.


Facilities classroom training for field service technicians (less than 15-25% of position).


Consistently review the innerworkings of equipment as well as solutions for common problems and failures.


Coordinates warranty related technical problems with Customer Service Reps.


Qualifications:


Associates or Technical degree


5 years of field service/manufacturing experience on ice makers, fridges, dishwashers, HVAC, etc.


Well-rounded knowledge of the operating principles of HVAC and/or refrigeration systems


Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings and system diagrams


Previous technical support experience and/or the willingness to move from a field service role in to a 100% technical support career
